Is the Taurus the only Pedal Synthesizer?

hey,
I recently found an old organ with organ pedals and discovered how fun it was to play a bass line with my feet while i play my songs on guitar and sing. obviously i can't bring a old organ on the road with me... the taurus (I or II) seems to be my only hope. firstly, i understand that they are rare, therefore how much do they generally sell for? secondly, are there any other companies making similar products? I really want some sort of pedal synth, but from my research this past hour it seems the taurus is either the best one or the only one available. any info is appreciated. thank you

Hi Dave bonnie lad. I'm also a guitar player looking to dabble in the field of beeps & blips. But all I know about synths is that you shouldn't rest a cup of tea on them. Ever.
However I have found a site www.basyn.com & they make a unit that goes for US$400. I don't know about what's on the inside frankly so let's hope someone on the forum can explain it to us very very slowly. But it does look like the sort of thing you could even SPILL your tea on in relative safety. It doesn't have conventional organ pedals, it has arcade game style chunky switches.
Let me know how it works out for you.
While I'm here can I ask the forum if there exists a 13 note pedal midi trigger out there so that we wouldn't be confined to analogue sounds??
Thanks for your time, sorry if I've been flippant & can I assure you all I'm a huge fan of Bill Nelson, David Sylvian & Riuchi Sakamoto. And where would they be without Sir Bob de Moog. Happy New Year to you all

I too wanted a Taurus type pedal synth. I didn't have the time to wait for one to come up on eBay so I bought a MIDI pedlaboard for about 100gbp and plugged it into a Korg 05R/W module. this did loads of lovely basses and worked for me. a friend offered me a Kenton Pro One MIDI/CV converter and I was then able to play a Minimoog from a set of MIDI pedals - evan better for those Taurus Plus noises. Finally, i hooked up a 76 note Roland A30 masterkeyboard to the Kenton and Minimoog and finally got what I wanted - a keyboard long enough to play leads and bases on attached to the synth that cannot be bettered for leads and basses - I hope this helps
